I saw two really good films tonight at the Munich film fest. The first, Better This World, really blew my mind. It's a documentary about two guys from Texas that protest the Republican National Convention and end up getting arrested and thrown in jail. I don't want to give anything away, but if you're into films that highlight the fucked up shit our government does (and gets away with), you'll love Better This World. 

I also saw, The Off Hours. It's more or less a film about someone who can't decide if living in her hometown is enough. Dealing with the drama, etc... That doesn't really do it justice, but the YouTube video below does a great job of explaining it. There are some really thoughtful shots in the film. Definitely moments where I thought, "Wow, that was really beautiful." Which is rare these days.
